Winners: PayForward

Pay Forward is a mobile application built with PhoneGap that uses optical character recognition software to search for anything with a dollar sign on a receipt. By recognizing the payment value, you are then allowed to split the bill, track debt, and send friendly text messages and/or email reminders to friends about the amount owed as well as manage your finances.

This app also donates spare change to charity. Each time you pay your bill, the service rounds up to the nearest $0.10 and donates the amount to a charity. Ron Wang, Bing Huan Chio, Justin Woo, and Chip Dong Lim will be representing Seattle during the World Finals in November. Congrats everyone!
